● What is TEDx?
TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover
“ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through
TEDx events. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas
and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations in their communities.
TEDx events include live speakers and recorded TED Talks, and are organized independently under
a free licence granted by TED. These events are not controlled by TED, but event organizers agree
to abide by our format, and are offered guidelines for curation, speaker coaching, event organizing
and more. They learn from us and from each other. More than 3000 events are now held annually.
● What is TEDxKIET?
TEDxKIET is an independently organized TED event working under the patronage of KIET Group of
Institutions and internationally organized TED events, focused upon bringing together speakers and
participants under one roof to strike up conversations that matter.
● Details of TEDxKIET 2021
The TEDxKIET organizing team is delighted to welcome all finalized speakers to the annual
TEDxKIET going to transpire on 12th November 2021. This is KIET Group of Institutions’ most
anticipated annual event devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, and it will give the speakers and the
attendees a platform to exchange ideas, discover opportunities, meet new friends and broaden each
other’s knowledge. We are truly amazed to see the accretion of our student-run organization over the
years and excited about those to emplane on a TEDx journey!
● Theme:An Era of Coexistence
The era which we live in today has witnessed a rise in dependence on one another as
living beings. Be it people helping each other in peak of COVID wave, or medical health
professionals doing the same. To interact with a commitment to tolerance, mutual
respect, and the agreement to settle conflicts without violence on the basis of
differences, which our country has a lot of. Coexistence includes efforts that aim to
address past wrongs, search for justice and forgiveness, build/rebuild communities and
looking to strive towards the ultimate peace driven world that everyone wants to be a
part of.
The event would act as a catalyst to educate as well as entertain the attendees by
covering a broad domain of ideas that are worth spreading, sharing, imbibing and living
by.
